The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ler fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Hopia, pushing him back against the cage.
Hopia prevents Ler from breaking the clinch.

Ler pulls guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hopia lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Hopia postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Hopia distracts Ler with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Hopia is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Hopia is in close to Ler's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Hopia seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hopia drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Hopia seems to have locked his on tight now - Ler screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Hopia, as he picks up the win!
