PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andrew Frame (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Test Bot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Andrew Frame has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Andrew Frame seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frame misses with the combination.
Frame tries to bum rush Bot with a series of wild strikes but Bot uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Bot takes the fight into the clinch.

Bot drags the fight down to the ground.
Frame wants to stand but Bot is controlling his posture from full guard.
Bot has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bot fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Frame avoids it really well and circles away.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Frame throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Bot.
Bot steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Frame.

Bot closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Bot is looking for a takedown.

and Bot holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Frame prevents the takedown attempt.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Bot.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bot is struggling to control the position.
Bot is trying to pull guard but Frame has him pressed against the cage.

Bot slowing the pace effectively.
Frame is looking to break free of the clinch but Bot has double underhooks.
Bot's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Frame is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Bot can do to turn this around?

and Frame counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Bot walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Frame will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Bot tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Frame defends well and Bot ends up having to push Frame into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

and Frame counters with a right hand to the body.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Bot is defended easily by Frame.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Bot shoots in but Frame avoids the takedown attempt easily.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Frame knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bot on the ground.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Frame trying to control but Bot is working from the bottom.

Bot is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Frame slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Bot is controlling Frame's posture.
Frame wants to control from the top but Bot keeps moving.
Frame throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Frame tries to stand but Bot is controlling from the bottom.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Bot fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Bot uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Frame.
Frame throws a series of punches but Bot avoids them all with ease.
Frame takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Bot takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Frame throws the kick towards the body but Bot avoids it.
A slow jab from Frame misses its intended target.

Bot drives through and clinches with Frame against the cage.
Bot dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.
Bot is looking for a takedown.
Andrew Frame has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Test Bot.
Frame struggles to land a body shot inside as Bot controls his hands.
Bot wants a takedown but no success here.
Test Bot seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.

Bot gets control of Frame's arms and successfully pulls guard. Bot will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Frame is fighting to break Bot's control of his arms but Bot is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Bot takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Frame pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Bot is keeping the position for now.
Frame would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bot can do anything to dispel that myth.

Frame got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bot has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Frame has managed to get both his arms back between Bot's legs - danger averted.

Bot looking to hit a scissor sweep but Frame is one step ahead there.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Frame stands and steps away. Bot gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Frame lands a nice shot that snaps Bot's head back.
Bot shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Frame as he avoids it easily.
Frame throws a right hand that Bot ducks under and follows up with a left that Bot also avoids with ease.
Frame lands with a cross.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Frame throws a right and a left that Bot avoids nicely.
Bot wants to counter with a clinch but Frame pushes him away.
Bot shoots in but no luck this time.
Test Bot has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Frame lands a right hook to the body.

And that's the end of the fight!
Andrew Frame showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Frame, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
