Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Cyu Yakuba (ranked 5932 p4p, 513 weight class) and Benji Lootin (ranked 9448 p4p, 629 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yakuba throws a left and a right that both miss

Yakuba has his foot on Lootin's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lootin works his way back into a safe position though.
Lootin is working Yakuba over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Yakuba working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lootin doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Lootin manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Yakuba is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Lootin lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Lootin must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Yakuba might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lootin can do anything to dispel that myth.
Yakuba wants to control from the top but Lootin keeps moving.

Lootin working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Yakuba's head.
Oh Yakuba is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Lootin postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Yakuba covers up, he's hurt! Lootin keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Lootin and the ref steps in to end the fight! Lootin can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Benji Lootin!
