Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Davi Barbosa (ranked 5350 p4p, 594 weight class) and Ray Nathan (ranked 3133 p4p, 391 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Davi Barbosa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ray Nathan!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Chris Saunders and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nathan displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Barbosa.
Nathan appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Barbosa tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Nathan lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Nathan throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Barbosa misses with a combination
and Nathan makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Barbosa swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Nathan counters with a stiff right hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Barbosa throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Nathan looks to throw a body kick
and Barbosa counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Barbosa falls off balance throwing a combination
and Nathan counters with a thumping low kick.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Barbosa misses with a body shot.
Nathan counters with a body kick.
Nathan dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Barbosa. That did some damage!
Nathan fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Barbosa.
Barbosa throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Nathan counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Barbosa takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Barbosa is breathing heavily.
Nathan with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Barbosa takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Nathan jabs Barbosa to the body, keeping him at a distance.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Nathan lands a slapping body shot.
Nathan scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Barbosa on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Nathan lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Barbosa throws a sloppy head kick
and Nathan counters with a crisp right hand that drops Barbosa! Nathan lets Barbosa back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Barbosa is rocked!
Nathan throws a shot to the body.
Oh Barbosa is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Nathan tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Barbosa was well out of range. Poor timing from Nathan.
It looked like Barbosa was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Barbosa seems to have got his legs back now.
Davi Barbosa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nathan feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Barbosa's calf.
Barbosa misses with a body shot.
Nathan doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Nathan stuns Barbosa with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Nathan sends Barbosa crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Nathan is motioning to the referee to let Barbosa up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Barbosa takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Barbosa misses with a wild body shot.
Nathan connects with a picture perfect right hand that knocks Barbosa out cold! This one is over in a flash!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ray Nathan!
A very excited looking Ray Nathan made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
