The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Irwin throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Jurevicious has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Jurevicious swinging wildly here.
Irwin went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Irwin throws a shot from downtown. Jurevicious moves away and avoids it.
Irwin has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

and Irwin counters with a straight right hand.
Irwin uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Jurevicious has time to react.

Jurevicious wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Irwin, who protects the arm well.

Jurevicious is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Irwin is just riding it out for now. Jurevicious eventually gives up the hold.

Irwin rolls with it to try and escape but Jurevicious cranks on the arm and Irwin is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
