The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ramirez throws a lazy body kick
and Franco counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Franco trying to control the action but Ramirez is working from the bottom.
Franco is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Ramirez doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Franco.
Franco is working for a kimura but Ramirez is defending it quite comfortably.
Franco is trying to control. Ramirez wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ramirez tries to kick Franco off but Franco keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Well, if Franco is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Ramirez tries to get to full guard but Franco has control of the leg.
Franco wants to control but Ramirez is keeping him busy.
Franco drops an elbow to the side of Ramirez 's head.
Franco has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Ramirez defend it? Franco steps over the head and cranks it - Ramirez is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Franco!
