The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Olympus throws a head kick that misses
and Wooten counters with a head kick. That will keep Olympus thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Olympus misses with a wild combination.

Olympus clinches up with Wooten and pushes him back against the cage.
Wooten tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Olympus smiles and moves away.
Olympus throws a sloppy head kick and Wooten moves out of range easily.

and Wooten counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

It looks like Derrick Wooten has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Wooten throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Olympus stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Wooten avoids a punch combination nicely.

Olympus throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Wooten blocks it with crossed arms.

Wooten tries to pull guard but Olympus forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Wooten could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Wooten looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Wooten is looking for a takedown.
Olympus throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Wootens head.

Olympus breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Olympus forces Wooten back against the cage and clinches.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Olympus tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Wooten avoids it.

Wooten wants to get back to his feet but Olympus is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Wooten is breathing heavily.

Wooten pushes Olympus off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

and Wooten counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Olympus lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Wooten backwards.

Olympus breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
A head kick by Olympus - that's a beauty! Wooten is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Olympus can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
