Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Richard Silva (ranked 1062 p4p, 163 weight class) and Billy Butcher (ranked 1510 p4p, 224 weight class). Butcher has chosen Won't Back Down as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Richard Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Billy Butcher!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Russell Pearce and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Butcher. No joy for Silva on that attempt.
Butcher throws a looping overhand right but Silva ducks down to avoid it.

Silva looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Butcher bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Silva's head backwards.

Silva shoots in and bounces Butcher off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Silva shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Butcher's guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Richard Silva will probably get the nod.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Richard Silva.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Silva, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
