Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Guy Barron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Madin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are William Gold, Paul Tew and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Madin scores with a takedown into Barron's guard.
Madin wants to control from the top but Barron keeps moving.
Barron is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Barron has his hands on Madin's head, controlling the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Barron keeping moving, preventing Madin from controlling successfully.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Madin works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Barron keeping control of the position.
Madin wants to lay and pray for a moment but Barron keeps working.
Barron is looking for a sweep. Madin is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Madin shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Barron keeping hold of Madin's head, controlling as best he can.
Barron is staying active underneath Madin, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Barron is trying to stand.

Madin wants to pass to mount but Barron is defending the position.
Barron tries to roll over but Madin keeps him under control.
Madin stops Barron from getting back to his feet.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Madin manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Barron on his heels. He'll look to pass Barron's guard now, I'm sure.
Barron is looking to stand back up but Madin counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Barron.

Madin seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Barron does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Madin prevents Barron from improving his position.
Madin wants to lay and pray for a moment but Barron keeps working.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Barron is controlling Madin's position as best he can from this difficult position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Barron has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Madin is on him like a limpet, forcing Barron back against the cage.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Madin has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Barron regains guard immediately.
Barron really is a fat lump.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Barron is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Barron looking for a sweep. Not yet Barron, not yet.
Jay Madin has got the better of the ground game so far.
Barron seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Madin trying to control but Barron is working from the bottom.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Madin prevents Barron from getting back to his feet.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Madin is standing up over Barron. Barron looks to escape but Madin dives into side control.
Barron tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
Barron is trying desperately to improve position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Barron is squirming around, avoiding Madin's attempts to control the action.
Barron has given up his back, trying to stand up. Not clever.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Barron tries to escape the position.
Barron trying to control the hands but Madin won't let him.
Madin trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Jay Madin will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Barron wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Madin manages to pass to side control.
Barron might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Barron is really stuck here.
Madin tries to get the hooks in deep but Barron pushed the leg off.
Barron is trying to break free.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Madin struggling to keep hold of the position.
Barron rolls, trying to escape but Madin keeps control of the position.
Barron is working hard here to advance position.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Barron is trying escape back to his feet. He turns into his opponent's guard and eventually finds his way back to his feet.

Barron gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Madin is pushing down on Barron's leg trying to pass to half guard. Barron is fighting to maintain full guard but Madin has managed to sneak the leg through.

Madin wants to control the pace but Barron is squirming around nicely.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Madin is trying to take his opponent's back.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Madin. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Barron wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
Guy Barron has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Madin is hanging on to Barron's back as he tries to escape.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jay Madin comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Madin winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Jay Madin spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
