Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Richard Davidson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Quick Joe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Quick Joe has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Richard Davidson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Quick Joe!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Gregory Folan and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joe drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Davidson shoots for a double leg takedown but Joe sprawls well. He's pushed Davidson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Joe looks to land a right hand but Davidson moved out of range.
As Joe tries to get set, Davidson tries to push him back and clinch up but Joe manages to avoid the attempt.
Horrible takedown attempt by Davidson or perhaps it was just good defense by Joe, which made it look bad.
Joe swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Davidson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Joe manages to avoid it.
Davidson lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

Davidson gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Davidson wants the takedown. Joe is fighting it off but Davidson persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Joe's guard against the cage.
Joe is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Joe is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Davidson's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Davidson's back!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Davidson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
A little jabbing left from Joe on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Davidson wants to get back to his feet but Joe is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Let's hope that Joe has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Joe accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Joe leaves Davidson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Joe thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Davidson is looking to regain half guard here but Joe keeps moving and retains side control.

Joe is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Davidson is surviving well by controlling Joe's body position as best he can.

Joe is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Davidson has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Joe goes for a double leg but Davidson avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Davidson continues to drive forward.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Richard Davidson.
I think Davidson has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
