Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jon Jinx (ranked 10113 p4p, 882 weight class) and Cicero Dos Santos (ranked 8844 p4p, 834 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jinx fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Jinx darts in and clinches Dos Santos up against the cage.

Jinx turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Jinx manages to end up in side control.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Jinx gets to his feet. Dos Santos looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Dos Santos takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Dos Santos is taking a breather. Jinx says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Dos Santos winds up and cracks Jinx with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Horrible takedown attempt by Dos Santos or perhaps it was just good defense by Jinx, which made it look bad.

Jinx shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Jinx was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Dos Santos has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Jinx is on him like a limpet, forcing Dos Santos back against the cage.
Dos Santos wants to take the fight to the mat but Jinx manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Dos Santos can't get the takedown.
Jon Jinx has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cicero Dos Santos.
Dos Santos goes for a takedown in the clinch but Jinx prevents it.

Jinx breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Jinx will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Jinx throws a strike but Dos Santos rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
