Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Juan Vasquez (ranked 3372 p4p, 417 weight class) and Samart Sirinto (ranked 5898 p4p, 635 weight class). Vasquez comes to the cage accompanied by Battery. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sirinto tries to close the distance and clinch but Vasquez swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Sirinto throws a nice outside leg kick.
Vasquez connects with the punch.
Sirinto is looking to clinch but Vasquez is avoiding it.
Sirinto tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
An attempted straight right counter from Vasquez misses the target.
Sirinto throws a leg kick which misses Vasquez's front leg but catches the back leg as Vasquez tries to avoid it.
Sirinto misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Vasquez.
Sirinto lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Vasquez lands a jab to the head.
Sirinto fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
We've been hearing reports that Vasquez has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Vasquez drops Sirinto with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Sirinto looks back up at him and smiles so Vasquez waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Sirinto is rocked!

It looks like Samart Sirinto has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Vasquez fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sirinto manages to avoid it.
Sirinto is still on wobbly legs! Can Vasquez finish him?
Vasquez fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Sirinto to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Sirinto looks to clinch but Vasquez throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Sirinto taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
