Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ozzy McKane (ranked 53 p4p, 5 weight class) and Katu Partio (ranked 578 p4p, 70 weight class). McKane's entrance music is SAIL - AWOLNATION. A fine choice. Partio comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Sininen sunnuntai kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Katu Partio told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Partio, right into the meat.
Partio digs a good body shot into McKane's ribs.

McKane throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Partio tries a quick counter leg kick but McKane is wise to it.

McKane tries to land a front kick but Partio steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
McKane throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Partio fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt McKane.

Partio fakes high and swings low for a body shot but McKane manages to avoid it.

McKane attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

McKane throws a quick counter kick to the body but Partio avoids it.
McKane is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Partio throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Partio lands with a kick to the temple. McKane shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

McKane takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Partio throws a sloppy head kick and McKane moves out of range easily.

McKane feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

That was a close second round but I would say that Ozzy McKane will probably get the nod.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
