Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Don Juan Matus (ranked 52 p4p, 4 weight class) and Nik Snow (ranked 714 p4p, 83 weight class). Matus comes to the cage accompanied by Crow Spirit. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 28 - 12 - 3, fighting out of Las Vegas, Don Juan Matus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 1, fighting out of New York, Nik Snow!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Snow misses with an uppercut.
Snow swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Matus takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Matus cracks Snow with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Matus has been working on his boxing with his coaches at The Wild Beasts Zoo in the buildup to the fight.
Snow displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Matus throws out the jab.
Matus gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Matus throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Matus shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Snow punishes Matus's body with a nice straight punch.
Matus has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Snow.
Matus scores with a kick to the midsection.
Matus throws a shot from downtown. Snow moves away and avoids it.
Snow thuds his right hand into Matus's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

That was a close second round but I would say that Don Juan Matus will probably get the nod.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Snow crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Matus - the referee stops the clock and Snow gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Matus. Snow manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
