Medzy is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Engoria defends it well.

Engoria manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Medzy manages to get himself to full guard.

Engoria sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Medzy's guard.

Engoria might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Medzy haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Engoria working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Medzy working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Engoria doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Engoria manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Medzy wants to improve his position, back to half guard but Engoria has ideas of his own. He's got hold of Medzy's far side arm and it looks like he's got an Americana. Ohh! Ohhhh! OOOOOOOOOH! A human being's arm is not meant to bend like that! Medzy is tapping like a morse code operator on the Titanic! SOS SOS! He's out of here! Great win for Engoria!
