The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Choo slips under a jab.
Choo wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Hughes misses with a straight left.
Choo seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Choo throws a combination. Hughes tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

It looks like Ricky Hughes has been cut.
Hughes throws out a powerful jab.

It looks like Mew Choo has been cut.
Hughes misses with a two punch combination.
Hughes slips a jab and a cross from Choo.
A nice side step and Hughes releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Choo misses with a looping left.
Choo cracks Hughes with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Hughes dodges the punch combination from Choo.
Choo is pawing at Hughes, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Hughes's nose. Hughes is badly hurt! Choo pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Hughes tries desperately to hold on but Choo is relentless in his assault! As Hughes receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Choo away and this one is in the books!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mew Choo!
