Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Juan Rizky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Emanuel Furlan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Juan Rizky has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Juan Rizky!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 1, fighting out of The Island, Emanuel Furlan!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Bart Greer and Michael Johnstone.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Furlan has managed to clinch.
Rizky misses with the head strike.
Furlan can't get the takedown.

Rizky successfully pulls guard.
Rizky trying to keep a closed guard but Furlan is proving a slippery customer.
Furlan wants to control from the top but Rizky keeps moving.
Rizky looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Rizky is looking to stand back up but Furlan counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Rizky.
Rizky is trying to control but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rizky is looking to get back to is feet but Furlan passes into side control.

Furlan is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Rizky is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Rizky tries to buck Furlan off but Furlan is having none of it.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Furlan working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Furlan tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Rizky takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Furlan is chipping away with strikes.
Rizky is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Who's going to make the next move?

Rizky sneaks out the side door and pushes Furlan away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Rizky goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Furlan throws a leg kick that misses.
Rizky seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

Rizky gets the takedown into side control.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Rizky in side control lands a decent elbow.
Furlan is trying to control Rizky's posture but Rizky avoids it.
Rizky looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Furlan misses with an elbow from the bottom.
Rizky is looking to take a break and control but Furlan is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Furlan tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Rizky wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Furlan is trying to control Rizky's posture but Rizky avoids it.

Rizky is stalling here. Furlan is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Rizky seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Furlan has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Rizky looks to score with a jab to the body but Furlan is just out of range.
Furlan changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Furlan lands a leg kick that knocks Rizky off balance momentarily.
Rizky uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Furlan.
Rizky wants to clinch up but Furlan keeps it at a distance.
A combination from Furlan does no damage.
Furlan takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Furlan moves into the clinch.
Furlan is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Rizky gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Rizky decides to pull guard.

Furlan makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Rizky wants to sweep here but Furlan controlling him for the moment.

Furlan has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Rizky is trying to keep an underhook but Furlan manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Furlan seems to be looking for submissions.
Rizky is trying to get back to full guard.
Furlan is thwarting Rizky's attempts to control the position.

Furlan is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Rizky has managed to free his arm - good work.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Furlan in particular looking to stall.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Furlan connects with a nice short shot to Rizky's temple.

Emanuel Furlan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Rizky is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Furlan defends it well.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Rizky not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Furlan is trying to control but can't.

Furlan is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Rizky's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Rizky's back!

Furlan misses with an elbow to the head.

Furlan is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Rizky knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Rizky for a finish.
Rizky manages to reverse the position and now he's in Furlan's guard. Nice work there by Rizky.

Rizky throws a strike but Furlan rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Furlan is working for a kimura but Rizky is defending it quite comfortably.

Furlan looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

I would just about give that final round to Emanuel Furlan.
I think Furlan has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
