The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ei throws a hook but Pulu blocks it.
Pulu has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Pulu tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ei was well out of range. Poor timing from Pulu.
Ei is looking to counter punch.
Ei cracks Pulu with a good jab.

It looks like Maki Pulu has been cut.
Ei lands a really nice looking cross but Pulu seems unphased.
Ei on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Ei uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Pulu closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Ei to the mat! Ei manages to get full guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Ei will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Pulu slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Ei is posturing up here but Pulu has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Ei tries to roll out but it's too tight and Ei has to tap! Slick submission there by Pulu!
