Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Show Gunn (ranked 5580 p4p, 694 weight class) and Odell Mason (ranked 4825 p4p, 616 weight class). Mason has chosen Koolwhip as his entrance music. Odell Mason has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gunn delivers a nice body kick.
Gunn lands with a kick to the ribs.
Mason waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Gunn.
Mason takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Mason throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Mason gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Gunn manages to break the clinch.
Mason has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Some wild striking there from Gunn.
Gunn drops his hands momentarily and Mason takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Gunn throws out a leg kick but Mason moves out of range and Gunn only half commits.
Gunn looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Gunn steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Mason.
Gunn chopping away at his opponent's legs.

Gunn is looking to slow Mason down with leg kicks.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Gunn turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Gunn lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Mason throws a jab but it's blocked by Gunn.
Mason connects with a good right hand that stumbles Gunn. Gunn circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Gunn cracks a nice hook into Mason's ribs.
Mason jabs Gunn to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Mason lands a right hook to the body.
Mason smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Mason fails with an attempt to clinch.
Mason avoids the body shot from Gunn.
It seemed like Mason was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Mason fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Gunn, pushing him back against the cage.
Gunn blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Mason swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Gunn breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
A swing and a miss from Mason.

The fight stays on the outside here - Mason looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Gunn ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Mason moves away.
Show Gunn is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Gunn connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Mason takes a swing at Gunn's ribcage but misses.
Gunn throws a jab but it's blocked by Mason.

Gunn loads up on a big right hand but Mason slips the punch.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Gunn.
Mason is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Gunn.
Mason uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Gunn.
Mason lands a lovely overhand right.
Gunn misses with a double jab.
Mason connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

and Mason counters with a stiff right hand.
Gunn jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Mason looks to throw the jab but Gunn is out of range.
Gunn uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Mason.
Mason throws a lazy right hand but Gunn sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Mason tries to clinch up but Gunn circles away and keeps his distance.
Gunn connects with a leg kick. Mason looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Mason stuns Gunn with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Mason will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Mason looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Gunn throws a low kick but Mason moves out of range easily.

Mason is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Gunn had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Gunn ducks under a wild hook from Mason.
Mason throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Gunn sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Gunn is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Gunn throws a jab but it's blocked by Mason.
Mason misses with a left hand
and Gunn counters with a nice low kick that buckles Mason's knee momentarily.
Mason on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Gunn lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Gunn scores with a crisp jab that stopped Mason in his tracks.

It looks like Odell Mason has been cut.
Gunn staying out of range there.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Mason does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Gunn lands a left and a right that send Mason crashing to the mat, dazed. Gunn thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Gunn throws an overhand right that has Mason reeling! Gunn follows up with more punches and Mason is out cold! This one is all over!
