Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Hieronymus Lex (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Malcolm Craig (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Craig's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Lex bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Craig's guard.

Lex escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Craig gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Craig wants to get up but he can't break Lex's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Craig dips a shoulder and cracks Lex with a mighty uppercut! Lex falls back against the cage and Craig unloads with a barrage of strikes! Lex is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Craig screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
