Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Radbod Blank and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Omen clinches up against the cage.
Laranja is looking for a takedown up against the cage. The Omen gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
The Omen digs a right hand into Laranja's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Laranja's gas tank.
The Omen lands a right hand that snaps the head of Laranja backwards.
The Omen lands a hook that snaps the head of Laranja backwards.
A nice right hand lands inside from The Omen.
The Omen lands a nice shot to the body.
The Omen pushes Laranja back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Laranja is trying to trip The Omen. He has hold of a leg but The Omen is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Laranja persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
My spies in Know Squat inform me that Laranja has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
The Omen wants to stand up but Laranja is controlling him.
The Omen keeping moving, preventing Laranja from controlling successfully.
The Omen wants to stand and escape but Laranja is having none of it.
The Omen knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Laranja on the ground.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Laranja seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The Omen is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Laranja dives into side control.
The Omen is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Laranja is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. The Omen knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Laranja has hold of The Omen's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! The Omen tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Laranja cranks the arm and The Omen screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from The Omen, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
