Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Huang (ranked 10075 p4p, 881 weight class) and Antonie Bulle (ranked 5144 p4p, 643 weight class). Bulle has chosen Dutch as his entrance music. Kevin Huang has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kevin Huang!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Antonie Bulle!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Michael Johnstone and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bulle fails to land the takedown.
Bulle tries for a takedown but Huang sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Huang throwing a counter right hand but Bulle manages to avoid it.

Kevin Huang has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Antonie Bulle.
Bulle shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Huang could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Bulle manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Huang on his heels. He'll look to pass Huang's guard now, I'm sure.
Huang is trying to control the position but Bulle postures up.
Huang pulls Bulle in close to prevent any damage.
Huang is trying to control the position from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Huang is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Bulle drops back looking for a leg! Huang is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Huang manages to kick Bulle off! Bulle jumps back into Huang's guard.
Bulle wants to control from the top but Huang keeps moving.

Huang is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Bulle pushes down on Huang's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Bulle seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Huang does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Bulle might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Huang haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Bulle working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Bulle thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Huang's head.
Huang is looking for a sweep. Bulle is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Bulle working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bulle is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Huang!
Huang can't escape the position.

Bulle lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Huang is breathing heavily.
Bulle cracks Huang with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Bulle wants to control the pace but Huang is squirming around nicely.
Huang is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Bulle tries to control but Huang wriggling away.

Huang tries to hold on but Bulle postures up.
Bulle wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it.
Huang is in a horrible position here. Bulle smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Bulle lands a nice shot to the head.

Bulle is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Huang to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Huang shrugs it off.
Huang tries to hold on but Bulle pushes him away.

Bulle is working for a guillotine from mount but Huang frees his head quite easily.

Bulle looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Bulle pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Bulle is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Huang can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bulle jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Huang manages to avoid the submission attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Antonie Bulle dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


No luck with that takedown attempt from Bulle.

Huang goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Bulle has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Huang but great work by Bulle.

Bulle is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Huang is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Huang might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Bulle working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Bulle has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Bulle creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Huang sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

We've been hearing that Huang has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Bulle holds on and takes a little breather.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Huang trying to control but Bulle is working from the bottom.
Bulle can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Huang controls the pace.
Bulle has Huang pulled in close to control his posture.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Huang wants to stand but Bulle has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Antonie Bulle will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Nice takedown defense from Huang. No joy for Bulle on that attempt.
Huang swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Bulle tries to score a power double leg takedown but Huang sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bulle somewhat.
Huang leaves Bulle with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Kevin Huang has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Antonie Bulle.
A combination from Huang does no damage.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Bulle changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Huang looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Bulle is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Huang will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Bulle wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Huang, who protects the arm well.
Huang is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Bulle goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Huang rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Bulle's guard! Nice work there by Huang!

And that's the end of the fight!
Kevin Huang showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Bulle has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

After the fight, Antonie Bulle was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
