Coming up we have a featherweight kickboxing rules bout between Cain Jones (ranked 4269 p4p, 397 weight class) and Cristoff Melkovick (ranked 7600 p4p, 558 weight class). Jones comes to the ring accompanied by Hell's Bells- AC/DC. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 13 - 1, fighting out of London, Cain Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Cristoff Melkovick!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Sosuke Kotani and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Melkovick missing with a left hand there. Jones was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Jones seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Jones throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Melkovick throws a body punch but Jones moves out of range.
Jones tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Melkovick was well out of range. Poor timing from Jones.
Melkovick cracks Jones with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Melkovick has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Melkovick might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Cain Jones.
Well Jones has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
