Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dumba Diame Jr (ranked 2721 p4p, 284 weight class) and Matvey Pavlov (ranked 3765 p4p, 377 weight class). The key to victory for Dumba Diame Jr has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Diame Jr fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Pavlov sprawls well initially but Diame Jr persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Pavlov is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Diame Jr pulls his head out easily.
Pavlov has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at LOD: Ground Zero. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
Diame Jr is keen to just control but Pavlov is a slippery customer.

Pavlov is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Diame Jr changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Pavlov looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Pavlov is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Diame Jr's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Diame Jr's back!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Will Pavlov go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?

Pavlov is looking for a choke. Diame Jr gets to his feet with his opponent on his back and slams him to the mat. Diame Jr manages to squirm out of the attempted choke and turns into his opponent's guard.

Pavlov has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Diame Jr can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

That was a close second round but I would say that Dumba Diame Jr will probably get the nod.
