The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thiago scores with a leg kick.
Clinton takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Thiago throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Clinton was covering up waiting for the punch and Thiago finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Clinton bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Thiago's guard.

Thiago is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Thiago knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Clinton on the ground.
Thiago is looking to stand up but Clinton isn't so interested in that idea.
Clinton wants to control from the top but Thiago keeps moving.
Clinton makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Clinton is in close to Thiago's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Oh Thiago is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Clinton lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Clinton works over Thiago with some ground and pound from guard.
Clinton gets to his feet and stands over Thiago, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Thiago felt that one! Clinton unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Thiago from any more punishment!
