Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Alberto Simon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fabiano Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fabiano Gracie has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Alberto Simon's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie is trying hard to land a takedown here. Simon sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Simon went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Simon gets tackled into the cage by Gracie. Gracie maintains the clinch.

Simon has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Gracie is proving hard to escape from.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Simon trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Gracie is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Simon defends well.
Gracie bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Simon's guard.

Gracie seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Simon does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
