Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Thiago Cunha and Mauricio Rocha.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Montgomery closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Jacobi goes for a takedown in the clinch but Montgomery prevents it.
Jacobi has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Montgomery lands a shoulder strike.
Montgomery is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Montgomery lands an uppercut.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Montgomery creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Montgomery's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Montgomery rushes Jacobi and presses him up against the cage.
Montgomery keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Jacobi's efforts to push away.

Montgomery is fighting off a takedown attempt but Jacobi is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Montgomery to the mat. Montgomery regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Jacobi wants to control from the top but Montgomery keeps moving.
Montgomery knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jacobi on the ground.
Montgomery tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Montgomery is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Montgomery utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Jacobi drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Jacobi jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Montgomery is on top in guard.

Jacobi has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Montgomery off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Montgomery gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Montgomery scores with a nice hook to the head.
A nice right hand lands inside from Montgomery.
Montgomery prevents a takedown attempt there.
Theodore Montgomery has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jason Jacobi.
Montgomery lands on the inside with an uppercut.

Jacobi goes for a takedown in the clinch but Montgomery prevents it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Montgomery lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Montgomery creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Jacobi with a big uppercut! Jacobi tries to clinch up but Montgomery pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Jacobi to the mat! Jacobi covers up and Montgomery unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
