Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Derek David (ranked 8362 p4p, 796 weight class) and Ben Lancing (ranked 8028 p4p, 777 weight class). Lancing is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: The Prodigy - Stand Up. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ben Lancing!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Kenichi Hosakawa and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lancing misses the jab.
David appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Lancing misses with a hook.
Lancing lands a really nice looking cross but David seems unphased.
Lancing throws a jab but it's blocked by David.
Lancing keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Lancing connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
A big right from Lancing misses.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Lancing, as that shot connected.

As Lancing tries to get set, David tries to push him back and clinch up but Lancing manages to avoid the attempt.
Lancing misses with an uppercut. David saw that one coming.
Lancing throws a jab when David was well out of range.

David takes one to the side of the head.

David decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
David seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

David thows a huge punch but Lancing dodges it nicely.

David thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Lancing's head.
David wants to take a breather but Lancing is having none of it.

Lancing pushes David off looking to stand but David dives back in and keeps control.
David is trying to control. Lancing wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Ben Lancing is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A left lands for Lancing.
It looks like Derek David has been cut.
Lancing rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and David cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
David keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Lancing.
David dives in and grabs Lancing's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lancing pushes down on David's head and hops out.
Lancing lunges at David with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by David's hand.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Lancing misses with a looping right.
David staying out of range there.
Lancing throws a looping overhand right but David ducks down to avoid it.
Lancing lands an uppercut out of nowhere! David falls backwards - clearly groggy! Lancing dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
