The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Poulter blocks a leg kick.

Karhu shoots in and gets a takedown into Poulter's guard.

Poulter breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Poulter takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Karhu tries to clinch up but Poulter circles away and keeps his distance.
Poulter lands a nice leg kick that just misses Karhu's sensitive parts.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

It looks like Woima Karhu has been cut.

Karhu stands up and waves to Poulter to follow him.

Poulter throws a series of strikes that have Karhu backpedaling.
Poulter avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Poulter keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Poulter, as that shot connected.
Karhu tries to clinch but Poulter moves out of range.

Karhu throws a body kick that misses.
Karhu dodges the punch combination from Poulter.
Poulter fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Nice takedown defense from Poulter. No joy for Karhu on that attempt.

Karhu misses with a series of wild punches.
Karhu throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Poulter scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Karhu tries for a takedown but Poulter circles away easily
and Poulter makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Poulter throws a looping overhand right but Karhu ducks down to avoid it.

Karhu closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Poulter did well to prevent Karhu getting side control.

Poulter manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Karhu keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Poulter is trying to force a seperation but Karhu has the dominant position.

Karhu shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

That has opened up Woima Karhu's cut even more.

Oooooh!!! Poulter has knocked Karhu down with a huge combo! Poulter steps away and waves a wobbly Karhu back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Poulter throws a right and a left that Karhu avoids nicely.
Karhu is still on wobbly legs! Can Poulter finish him?
Poulter looks for a takedown but Karhu sprawls well.
Karhu drops his hands for a split second and Poulter immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Karhu face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Poulter follows up with a right hand that knocks Karhu into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!
