The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Bastard throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

and Xavier connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Xavier uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Bastard throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Xavier steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Bastard.
Bastard throws a hook but Xavier avoids it easily.
Xavier loads up on a big right hand but Bastard slips the punch.
Bastard throws a right hand that Xavier ducks under and follows up with a left that Xavier also avoids with ease.

Xavier appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.

Bastard will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Bastard is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Xavier has managed to clinch.
Bastard is trying to break the clinch but Xavier has him pressed against the cage.
Xavier looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Xavier escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Bastard cracks Xavier with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Xavier falls to his knees and Bastard doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
