Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Algernon Cadwallader (ranked 1595 p4p, 178 weight class) and Alexei Chernokov (ranked 1257 p4p, 141 weight class). Cadwallader kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Algernon Cadwallader - Spit Fountain. Chernokov has chosen Disaster strikes - Mushroom cloud as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

13 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Alexei Chernokov!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cadwallader is looking to clinch.
Cadwallader tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Chernokov looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Chernokov has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Cadwallader is landing a low percentage of strikes.
The crowd cheers as Cadwallader lands an impressive looking overhand right. Chernokov doesn't seem phased though.
Chernokov moves into range and clinches up with Cadwallader .
Cadwallader misses with a punch to the body.
Chernokov blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Chernokov turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Chernokov manages to end up in side control.
Cadwallader pushes Chernokov away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Chernokov gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Cadwallader is trying to control Chernokov's posture but Chernokov avoids it.

Cadwallader holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage.

Cadwallader is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Chernokov is controlling him well.
Cadwallader is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Chernokov throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Chernokov tries to score with some ground and pound. Cadwallader controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Chernokov gets to mount! Cadwallader was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Chernokov won't let Cadwallader get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Chernokov has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
