Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Paul Green (ranked 2288 p4p, 353 weight class) and Jean Yves Cachemaille (ranked 1833 p4p, 281 weight class). Green's entrance music is Boom Boom. A fine choice. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cachemaille misses with a hook.
Green attempts a counter takedown but Cachemaille avoids it well and moves away.
Green walks into a jab.
Cachemaille throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

Green looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Green changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Cachemaille tries to avoid it but Green manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Cachemaille to the ground. Cachemaille escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Green takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Green shoots in looking for a takedown. Cachemaille tries to sprawl out of it but Green keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Cachemaille manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Green looks for the body kick but Cachemaille saw that one coming.
Cachemaille stalks Green and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Green's face. Green staggers backwards, shaken.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Green turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Green manages to end up in side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Green creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Cachemaille sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
