Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Pan Romek (ranked 24561 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kal Nayak (ranked 6997 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Romek clinches with his opponent.
Romek breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Nayak avoids a punch combination nicely.
Romek tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Nayak defends well and Romek ends up having to push Nayak into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Romek drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Romek shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
enabling Nayak to counter with a crisp jab.
Nayak getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Romek takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Romek throws an overhand right that lands on Nayak's shoulder, as Nayak tries to avoid the shot.
Romek looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pan Romek. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nayak throws a good cross that connects.
Romek takes one to the chin there.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Romek clobbers Nayak with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Nayak catches Romek with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Romek closes the distance and clinches up with Nayak, looking for a takedown. Romek pushes Nayak against the cage but Nayak circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Nayak looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Nayak lands a head shot.
Nayak lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

Romek throws a leg kick that misses.
Nayak lands with a shot to the body.
Nayak tries to sprawl but Romek drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Nayak trying to hold on to Romek's head to control him but Romek postures up.
Romek content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Romek not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Romek decides to stand up.
Nayak moves out of range as Romek strikes.
Nayak swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Romek takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Romek misses with a takedown attempt - Nayak sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Romek moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
We've been told by Romek's head coaches at Cozad MMA Los Angeles that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Kal Nayak is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Romek needs to keep his hands up - Nayak had a free shot at his head there.
Romek looks to throw the jab but Nayak is out of range.
It seemed like Nayak was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Nayak lands a jab-cross combination.
Nayak keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Romek takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Nayak avoids the head kick by Romek.
Nayak connects with a body shot.
Romek fails with the takedown.
Nayak moves into range and connects with a jab.
Nayak feints a jab promting Romek to slip. Nayak then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Romek slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
A cross from Nayak lands.
Nayak ducks under a wild hook from Romek.
A little jabbing left from Nayak on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Nayak lands a right hook to the body.
Nayak sizes up Romek with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

A jab from Nayak finds it's way through Romek's defenses.
Nayak ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Nayak scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Romek doesn't seem bothered though.
Nayak cracks Romek with a right hand to the side of the head.
Romek pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Nayak back to the cage. Romek follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
It looks like Kal Nayak has been cut.
Nayak sizes up Romek with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Romek walks into a jab.
Nayak is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Romek had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Romek gets in close and tags Nayak with a short punch that almost sends Nayak to the mat! Oh Nayak is in big trouble! He turns his back on Romek, trying to create some distance but Romek rushes him, striking wildly and Nayak goes down! The referee tackles Romek into the cage to end the fight! Romek is one violent man!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Pan Romek!
