The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sinclair is trying hard to land a takedown here. El Parton sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
A little jabbing left from El Parton on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Sinclair looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
A shot to the liver by Sinclair. Beautiful body shot.
Sinclair fails with a takedown attempt.

El Parton darts in and clinches Sinclair up against the cage.
Sinclair tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. El Parton smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Sinclair. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sinclair tries a head kick but it misses.
Sinclair dodges the punch combination from El Parton.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

El Parton lands a big head kick that sends Sinclair tumbling to the mat! El Parton takes a step backwards and waves Sinclair back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Frank Sinclair has been cut.

Sinclair gets caught flat footed, as El Parton shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Sinclair throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Sinclair avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
El Parton postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
El Parton is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Let's hope that El Parton has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

El Parton stands up and waves to Sinclair to follow him.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Sinclair throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around El Parton's waist but El Parton gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sinclair off to one side.
El Parton ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Sinclair tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
El Parton throws a head kick that half lands.

El Parton shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Sinclair tries to push off, looking to stand up, but El Parton manages to move to mount!
Sinclair is breathing heavily.
Sinclair is wriggling around trying to escape.
El Parton controlling the pace for now.

We're seeing a lot of stalling here from El Parton.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
El Parton lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
El Parton takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Sinclair tries to improve his position but El Parton has taken his back! El Parton has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Sinclair tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! El Parton pushes Sinclair away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
