Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yoel Embolo (ranked 306 p4p, 44 weight class) and Light Heavyweight (ranked 456 p4p, 71 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Yoel Embolo has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Yoel Embolo seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Heavyweight. Embolo does a little dance to reset his feet.
Embolo circles away from the clinch attempt
and Embolo counters with a straight right hand.
Light Heavyweight seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Heavyweight takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Heavyweight swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Heavyweight uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Embolo.

Embolo throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

The fighters circle momentarily. Heavyweight darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Embolo seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Heavyweight misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Embolo counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Heavyweight fails with an attempt to clinch.
A jab from Embolo misses.
Embolo is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Heavyweight keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Embolo.

Heavyweight cracks a nice hook into Embolo's ribs.

and Embolo counters with a nice uppercut.

and Embolo counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Embolo takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Heavyweight scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Embolo walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Embolo tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Heavyweight was well out of range. Poor timing from Embolo.

Heavyweight tries to clinch up but Embolo circles away and keeps his distance.
Heavyweight throws a lazy uppercut
and Embolo cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Heavyweight lands a big uppercut and Embolo crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Embolo looks OK. Heavyweight waves Embolo back to his feet!

Embolo is rocked!
Embolo drops his hands momentarily. Heavyweight doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Embolo staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Embolo doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Light Heavyweight! Light Heavyweight retains his light heavyweight title!
Our winner, Light Heavyweight, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
