Clements has chosen Tech N9ne - Straight Out The Gate as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Cartel Lopez could well score a knockout today. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lopez shoots in for a takedown but Clements shows good takedown defense.

Lopez gets caught napping as Clements dives in and scores a takedown. Lopez manages to retain guard.
Clements is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Clements makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Lopez looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Clements stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lopez swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Clements landing some decent shots from guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lopez has his foot on Clements's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Clements works his way back into a safe position though.

Lopez is looking to cinch up a triangle. Clements throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Lopez's body to avoid the submission. Lopez has instead reached around Clements's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Lopez arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
