The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Borodin uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Mata has time to react.

It looks like Antonio Mata has been cut.

Borodin waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Mata. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Mata to the canvas! Can he finish him!?
Mata wants to sweep here but Borodin controlling him for the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Borodin gets to his feet. Mata looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Mata glances at the clock... BAM! Borodin nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Mata crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Mata is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!
