Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Cory Dillon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vlad Black!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Roger Salmon and Chris Saunders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dillon misses with an uppercut. Black saw that one coming.
Black throws a counter combo.
A combination from Black does no damage.
Dillon misses with a takedown attempt - Black sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Dillon gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Black.


It looks like Cory Dillon has been cut.
Black lands with a nice body punch.
Black circles away from the clinch attempt.
Black slips a straight right by Dillon.
Dillon looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Dillon shoots in but no luck this time.
Dillon misses with a hook. Black ducked under it nicely.

Dillon scores with a takedown into Black's guard.
Dillon is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Dillon is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Black wants to sweep but no luck.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Black looking to control.
Dillon trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Black can do anything to dispel that myth.
Dillon looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Black is trying to keep Dillon in close.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Black cracks a nice hook into Dillon's ribs.
Black bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Black lands with a good body shot.
A right-left combo lands from Black.
Dillon throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Dillon gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Black gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Dillon is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Vlad Black!
Vlad Black spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
Cory Dillon spoke after the fight, saying 'I would like a rematch to prove this loss was a fluke!'.
