Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Masamune Date (ranked 5269 p4p, 480 weight class) and Piotr Hermano (ranked 4056 p4p, 393 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hermano shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Date throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Hermano is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Date wants to clinch.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hermano is on top in guard.

Hermano seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Date knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hermano on the ground.

Date is wriggling around but Hermano manages to pass to half guard.

Date's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
