Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Hello Bay!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
27 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Helge Fossmo!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Mauricio Rocha and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bay fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Fossmo to the ground. Bay is now in Fossmo's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Fossmo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bay doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bay manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Bay is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Fossmo utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fossmo is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Fossmo lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Bay wants to stand but Fossmo is controlling the position.

Fossmo throws a strike but Bay rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Bay missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bay accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Fossmo seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Bay connects with a couple of short punches.

Bay with a flurry of punches that miss.
Bay is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Fossmo has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Bay is looking to defend but Fossmo has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Bay! Fossmo pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Bay taps out and this one is all over!
