Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between DJ Strawberry (ranked 25515 p4p, 945 weight class) and The Woggy (ranked 6350 p4p, 663 weight class). Strawberry comes to the cage accompanied by Brass Monkey. DJ Strawberry has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Woggy slips a jab and a cross from Strawberry.
An inside leg kick from Woggy misses.

Woggy drives through and clinches with Strawberry against the cage.

Strawberry pulls guard successfully.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Strawberry wants to sweep here but Woggy controlling him for the moment.
Woggy trying to control the position from guard on top but Strawberry is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Strawberry uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Woggy walks into a jab.
Strawberry with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Strawberry looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Woggy steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Strawberry.
Strawberry looks to land a left hand but Woggy moved out of range nicely.
Woggy slaps away a takedown attempt from Strawberry, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Woggy feints a counter leg kick.

Woggy shoots in for a double leg but Strawberry sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Woggy connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Strawberry doesn't manage to clinch there - Woggy circles away.
Strawberry misses with a wild combination.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Woggy unleashes a big counter combination but Strawberry bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Strawberry lands with a nice body punch.
Woggy pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Strawberry misses with a takedown
and Woggy counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Strawberry tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Woggy was well out of range. Poor timing from Strawberry.

Woggy instigates a clinch.

Woggy is working for takedown but Strawberry is calmly controlling the position for now.
Woggy fails to pull the fight into his guard.
DJ Strawberry has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of The Woggy.
Strawberry is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Woggy to keep the fight standing.
Woggy jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Strawberry walks away with a smile on his face. Woggy gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Strawberry shoots in looking for a takedown. Woggy tries to sprawl out of it but Strawberry keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Woggy manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Woggy is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Strawberry with a body shot.
Woggy lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Woggy uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Strawberry.
Strawberry throws a right hand that Woggy ducks under and follows up with a left that Woggy also avoids with ease.
Woggy connects with a looping right hand.

Woggy dodges the punch combination from Strawberry.
Woggy takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Strawberry throws a left and a right that both miss
and Woggy counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Strawberry cracks Woggy with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Woggy dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Woggy throws out a leg kick but Strawberry moves out of range and Woggy only half commits.
Woggy lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Strawberry at a distance.
Strawberry is breathing heavily.
Strawberry lands with a straight right. Woggy didn't see that one coming.
Strawberry pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Woggy lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Woggy throws a fast counter high kick but Strawberry manages to duck under it in time.

Strawberry went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Woggy tries a head kick but it misses.

and Strawberry counters with a series of strikes that sends Woggy to the canvas! Strawberry follows down into guard, looking to finish the fight!

Woggy is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Strawberry gets to his feet and stands over Woggy, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Woggy felt that one! Strawberry unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Woggy from any more punishment!
