Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jones looking to score a takedown here. Lawson is defending well but Jones drives through and ends up in Lawson's guard.

Jones has gone for a leg lock! Lawson slips out almost immediately though and dives into Jones's guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jones lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Jones wants to get up but he can't break Lawson's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Jones is looking to stand up but Lawson won't let him.
Jones pushes down on Lawson's leg and manages to get into half guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Jones moves nicely into side control.
Lawson pushes Jones away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Jones gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Jones happy to just control the position for now.

Lawson tries to escape but Jones is in control.
Jones works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Jones's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Jones tries to stand but Lawson controls the position and pulls Jones into his guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Jones landing some decent shots from guard.
Jones is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Jones advances to half guard.

Jones is working for a submission of some sort.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Jones shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Lawson is trying to defend but Jones finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jones wants to stand but Lawson has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

Jones is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Lawson sees it coming and defends easily.

Jones is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Jones is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Lawson can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Jones looking to finish Lawson with some ground and pound. This is bad for Lawson!
Lawson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Jones won't let Lawson get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

Jones cracks Lawson with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
