PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bismarck De Jager (ranked 2314 p4p, 331 weight class) and Kassius Halo (ranked 2455 p4p, 355 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think De Jager might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Afrikanerhart. The key to victory for Bismarck De Jager has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Jager throws the left hand but Halo avoids the punch easily.
De Jager misses with a straight left.
Halo changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from De Jager lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Halo has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Halo and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
De Jager takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

De Jager throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Halo thows a huge punch but De Jager dodges it nicely.
Halo has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Halo connects with a nice short shot to De Jager's temple.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Halo lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
De Jager is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Halo scores with a couple of nice shots.

De Jager has hold of Halo's hands but Halo slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

De Jager has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Halo is working away from the top position though.

Halo has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think De Jager should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Halo has tightened it up now! De Jager should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
