Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Travis Park!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Kendo Hirigushi!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Trevor Gratis and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hirigushi lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Hirigushi bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Hirigushi jabs Park right on the nose. Park blinks but takes it well.
Hirigushi connects with a nice looking jab.
Hirigushi bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Park's head backwards.
Hirigushi lands a jab to Park's midsection.
Park ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hirigushi moves away.
Hirigushi looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Hirigushi misses with a double jab.
Park swings widly with a right hand
and Hirigushi connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Hirigushi scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Hirigushi clinches.
Hirigushi misses with a punch on the inside.
A nice right hand lands inside from Hirigushi.
Park tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Hirigushi working some nice short punches in the clinch.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Hirigushi.


Park is rocked!

That's one minute gone in the round.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Hirigushi swings wildly with an uppercut but Park uses good head movement to avoid it.
Hirigushi lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Oh Park is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Hirigushi swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Hirigushi misses with a short punch on the inside.
Park seems to have got his legs back now.

Hirigushi breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Park throws a lazy uppercut
and Hirigushi cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Park needs to keep his hands up - Hirigushi had a free shot at his head there.
Jab by Hirigushi.
Hirigushi throws a shot to the body.
Hirigushi connects with a looping right hand.

Hirigushi closes the distance and pushes Park back into the ropes.

Park breaks the clinch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hirigushi throws a lazy uppercut
enabling Park to counter with a crisp jab.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A cross from Hirigushi lands.
Park just misses with a punch to the body.
A slow jab from Hirigushi misses its intended target.
Hirigushi thows a left - swing and a miss!
Park rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Park takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Hirigushi takes the fight into the clinch.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Hirigushi.
Park misses with a hook from the clinch.
A shot in the inside from Hirigushi.
Still in the clinch, Hirigushi scores with a nice short uppercut.
Hirigushi cracks Park with a big uppercut, right up the middle and Park goes down! Oh, he's hurt! He's bigtime hurt! The referee is giving him a chance to get back to his feet - 4,5,6,7, no, he's called it off! Park wasn't going to make it and the fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Kendo Hirigushi!
Kendo Hirigushi seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
