PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shiro Violent (ranked 8964 p4p, 273 weight class) and Edixon Pierre Frantez (ranked 8513 p4p, 264 weight class). Pierre Frantez has chosen Radiohead - Creep as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed right hand from Pierre Frantez misses the target.
Violent was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Pierre Frantez throws a series of punches but Violent avoids them all with ease.
Pierre Frantez tries to bum rush Violent with a series of wild strikes but Violent uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Pierre Frantez lands with a shot to the body.
Pierre Frantez throws a sloppy head kick and Violent moves out of range easily.
Violent swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Pierre Frantez misses with a body shot.
Pierre Frantez throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Pierre Frantez misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Violent swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Pierre Frantez connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Violent's hands.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Pierre Frantez is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Violent to keep the fight standing.

Shiro Violent has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Edixon Pierre Frantez.

Pierre Frantez gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Pierre Frantez throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Violent works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Violent working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Pierre Frantez doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Pierre Frantez manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Pierre Frantez got a little sloppy there for a moment and Violent has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Pierre Frantez has managed to get both his arms back between Violent's legs - danger averted.

Violent has his foot on Pierre Frantez's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Pierre Frantez works his way back into a safe position though.

Violent is breathing heavily.
Pierre Frantez wants to get up but he can't break Violent's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Violent is looking to cinch up a triangle. Pierre Frantez throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Violent's body to avoid the submission. Violent has instead reached around Pierre Frantez's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Violent arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
