Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jax Thomas (ranked 9331 p4p, 600 weight class) and Tiago Gracie (ranked 7002 p4p, 539 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Gracie throws a sloppy body shot
and Thomas counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Gracie misses with a leg kick
and Thomas counters with a right hand to the body.
Gracie tries to clinch but Thomas moves away
and Thomas counters with a stiff right hand.
Tiago Gracie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Thomas fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Thomas scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Gracie doesn't seem bothered though.
Thomas ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Thomas comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Thomas lands a slapping body shot.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Gracie misses with a takedown attempt
and Thomas counters with a stiff right hand.
Gracie doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Thomas lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Gracie wants to clinch but Thomas slips to the side
and Thomas counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Gracie thinking.
Thomas lands a slapping body shot.
Thomas works Gracie's body with a nice hook.
Gracie misses with a takedown
and Thomas counters with a stiff right hand.
Thomas's corner calls for a 1-2. Thomas obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Thomas clobbers Gracie with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Gracie is rocked!
Thomas cracks Gracie with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Gracie falls to his knees and Thomas doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
