Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Don Carter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Constantine Niambo!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Jorge Garcia and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter avoids the head kick by Niambo.

Niambo has taken the fight to the clinch.
Niambo is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Carter is defending well for now.
Niambo drops down looking for an ankle pick but Carter pulls his leg out and moves away.

Carter gets tackled into the cage by Niambo. Niambo maintains the clinch.
Niambo tries to circle away but Carter has him pinned against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Carter misses with a hook to the ribs.
Niambo tries a body shot but Carter blocks it.
Niambo's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Niambo.
Niambo tries to pull guard but Carter won't allow it.
Carter stalling in the clinch.
Niambo misses with a body punch.
Niambo pressing his opponent against the cage.
Niambo is trying to pull guard but Carter has him pressed against the cage.
Don Carter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Constantine Niambo.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Niambo has Carter pressed against the cage.

Carter breaks the clinch.
Niambo tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Carter paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Niambo fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
An attempted straight right counter from Carter misses the target.
No luck for Niambo with that takedown attempt.

Carter shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Carter was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Niambo wants to get back to his feet but Carter is dominant here and he's now got Niambo's back!

That's three minutes gone in the round.

You can see the frustration on Niambo's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Niambo covering up well and avoiding damage.

Carter is looking for the choke from the back position but Niambo is controlling his hands well.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Carter is cranking Niambo's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Niambo! He's tightened the choke and Niambo is tapping out!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Don Carter!
