PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rancho Wildslap (ranked 1992 p4p, 250 weight class) and Bjorn Wallstrom (ranked 1742 p4p, 221 weight class). Wildslap comes to the ring accompanied by Get Schwifty. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rancho Wildslap!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bjorn Wallstrom!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wildslap doesn't manage to clinch there - Wallstrom circles away.

Wildslap shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Wildslap is looking for a kimura but Wallstrom is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Wildslap to get the leverage.

Wildslap is working for a submission of some sort.
Wildslap trying to control the action but Wallstrom is working from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wallstrom wants to improve his position but Wildslap is controlling well.
Wildslap seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Wallstrom does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Wildslap uses his free foot to push down on Wallstrom's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Wallstrom.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Wildslap trying to control but Wallstrom is having none of it.

Wildslap is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Wallstrom has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Wallstrom!

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Wildslap is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Wallstrom defends well.
Wallstrom controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Wildslap looking to hit a scissor sweep but Wallstrom is one step ahead there.
Wallstrom seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Wildslap has an active guard here but Wallstrom has managed to pass into half guard.

Wildslap looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Wallstrom pushes past his half guard into mount!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Wallstrom displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Wildslap.
Wallstrom is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Wildslap with a body shot.
Wallstrom keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rancho Wildslap. That's going to take a lot out of him.

It looks like Rancho Wildslap has been cut.

Wallstrom let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Wallstrom scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

and Wallstrom counters with a crisp right hand that drops Wildslap! Wallstrom lets Wildslap back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Wildslap darts in looking for a takedown but Wallstrom gets double underhooks and turns Wildslap into the ropes.
Wildslap takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Wildslap is keeping his hands low and just asking to be knocked out. Wallstrom Raises his leg and lands a stunning axe kick! Wildslap is out cold, face down on the mat!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:17 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Bjorn Wallstrom!
Rancho Wildslap was interviewed post fight and said 'You're my boogie.'.
