The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Levert uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Beatovskiy.

Levert feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Beatovskiy manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Levert manages to get himself to full guard.

Levert has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Beatovskiy can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Levert is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Beatovskiy has his hands clasped together but Levert extends and breaks Beatovskiy's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Levert.
