Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Felipe Silva (ranked 6001 p4p, 693 weight class) and Kyle Zipperman (ranked 24669 p4p, 922 weight class). Kyle Zipperman is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zipperman shoots in for a takedown but Silva shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Silva looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Silva swats away the attempt to clinch by Zipperman.
Silva ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Zipperman takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Zipperman gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Silva looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Felipe Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Zipperman with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Silva to score with a decent uppercut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Silva counters with a series of strikes. Zipperman will be more careful next time no doubt.

Silva connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Zipperman momentarily.

Silva connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Zipperman tumbling to the canvas! Silva pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Zipperman was done - good stoppage!
